As a developmental and leadership coach, my desire is to help you grow and evolve into your best possible self, in work and in life. You can achieve far more than you think, together we can identify and create a plan which will allow you to start your journey on the path to improvement and self-fulfillment. I believe that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole; there is nothing that you cannot accomplish if you have the desire and will to overcome what is holding you back. My job as your coach is to help you identify what it is you want to accomplish, work with you to remove the things that are holding you back, and help you move forward to achieving your goals one step at a time.

TRAINING SERVICES

Currently, all of our training is face-to-face and uses the latest Accelerated Learning and twenty-first century brain research. In the training sessions, you will be spending the majority of the time in highly interactive activities designed to stimulate all of your senses and enhance your ability to retain what you have learned. You will never experience the boredom and time-wasting sit and listen to a lecture for hours on end. Our philosophy is to never “lecture” for more than 20 minutes without having an Interactive exercise or activity.

One of the most important parts of executive coaching is to help leaders work through their difficult situations so that they can transform their learning into results for the organization. Together, we will create a managed coaching relationship wherein given sufficient time and the proper motivation, can lead to impressive results. 

During the executive coaching sessions, I will share several frameworks, images, and metaphors in order to help the executive move forward. As the client, you will be challenged to increase your level of leadership knowledge to go beyond your current level of competence. I will help you identify your current capabilities by administering the Leadership Circle Profile, which measures the two primary leadership domains – Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies – and integrates this information so that key opportunities for leadership development immediately rise to the surface. We will use the results to map out your desired areas of improvement.

 

Leadership Development

The main purpose of leadership coaching is to help leaders, at all levels from upcoming to very experienced, to transform themselves into a leader that is truly worthy of being followed. I will help you identify your current capabilities by administering the Leadership Circle Profile, which measures the two primary leadership domains – Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies – and integrates this information so that key opportunities for leadership development immediately rise to the surface. I will use several different leadership transformational coaching frameworks in order to help you achieve the results you desire. The coaching sessions will include all topics on work related areas of performance (personal, interpersonal, technical or business skills). I will act as your guide by challenging and supporting you in achieving your personal and organizational goals.

ICAgile Certified Professional

Agile Fundamentals (ICP)

PENDING ACCREDITATION

Agile Fundamentals emphasizes starting with an Agile mindset, not a single methodology or framework. In order to succeed with agile approaches, teams and organizations should focus first on “being agile” as a foundation for success in “doing agile.” ICAgile’s fundamentals learning outcomes delve into key concepts such as adaptive planning, value-driven development, team collaboration and frequent feedback for continuous improvement. They also cover the history of the agile movement, the Agile Manifesto, the Agile Principles, and some widely applied frameworks and practices. Course participants come away with a solid understanding of core concepts as they prepare to embark on their agile journey.

Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF)

PENDING ACCREDITATION

The ICP-ATF is one of two knowledge-based certifications on the Agile Coaching Track. It focuses primarily on the mindset and role of an agile team facilitator, while also providing group facilitation tools and techniques for effectively designing meetings and workshops that both engage the entire audience and drive towards agreed-upon outcomes. Through obtaining this certification, course participants will develop an appreciation for the art of facilitation as key to fostering collaboration and enabling self-organizing teams. In addition, participants will build their facilitator toolkits and gain experience facilitating specific agile practices most relevant to their organizational context.

Typically, training providers will cover the required learning outcomes for this certification in approximately 21 hours of instructional activities over the course of two to three days.

Face-2-Face Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)

The face-2-face ICP-ACC is one of two knowledge-based certifications on the Agile Coaching track. The certification focuses primarily on the mindset, roles, and responsibilities of an Agile Coach. After finishing the certification, the learner will be able to differentiate between and among mentoring, facilitating, professional coaching and teaching, and will also gain the skills needed to create a safe environment for meaningful collaboration and healthy conflict resolution within an agile team. This certification introduces participants to foundational team coaching skills and team development concepts for starting and growing teams while focusing on teams and organizations as human systems. A key part of this certification focuses on developing an understanding of the professional coaching skillset and the value of honing these skills to serve individuals on an agile team.

Typically, training providers will cover the required learning outcomes for this certification in approximately 21 hours of instructional activities over the course of three days.

Virtual Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)

The Virtual ICP-ACC is a Virtual Instructor-Led Training (ViLT) course that is conducted online.  This course consists of ten live sessions of 1 1/2 - 2 hours each (19 1/2 total hours) and approximately four hours of offline work. The course focuses primarily on the mindset, roles, and responsibilities of an Agile Coach. After finishing the course, the learner will be able to differentiate between mentoring, professional coaching, and teaching, as well as gaining the skills needed to create a safe environment for meaningful collaboration and healthy conflict resolution within an agile team. This course introduces participants to foundational team coaching skills and team development concepts for starting and growing teams while focusing on teams and organizations as human systems. The official 2-day “Training from the BACK of the Room” (TBR) Practitioner Class is a globally-acclaimed, interactive, skills-building train-the-trainer class for anyone who is a trainer, teacher, instructor, coach, or facilitator of learning.

In this 2-day TBR Practitioner Class, you’ll explore how the human brain really learns, which is very different from traditional assumptions about learning. And you’ll be introduced to “cognitive neuroscience” concepts – the brain science behind all effective instructional design and human learning.

Lego(r) Serious Play coaching
ICAgile Expert Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) Mentoring

Mentoring someone to earn an ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) is a serious commitment from both the mentor and the candidate. While every relationship will be different and will evolve as the two parties learn what they need from each other to be successful, there are some common activities which should be considered when establishing and maintaining the relationship.

The following information is to help identify strong candidates to mentor towards the ICE-AC credential.

Required Qualifications / Attributes

ICE-AC candidate has:

❏ Completed the ICP and has been practicing agile for over one year

❏ Completed the ICP-ATF, and ICP-ACC certifications or have an imminent plan to complete these

❏ Experience designing agile ceremonies for interaction and creating facilitator guides

❏ Actively coached one or more Agile teams

❏ Passion for the discipline of agile coaching and a desire to reach the expert level within one year

Recommended Qualifications / Attributes

Leadership Circle Profile Assessment

The Leadership Circle Profile is unique for 2 reasons. First, we all know that great leadership is a complex mix of competency and inner states of being. This is the first competency tool to measure both the inner and outer aspects of leadership.

Second, your report is much more than just a list of behavioral competencies. It is organized into a very powerful system for understanding human behavior and development, as well as for making sense of the interrelationships between the many dimensions of your self that are being evaluated.

Agile Mentoring

This service is to help people that want assistance to towards improving their knowledge and understanding of Agile.

This will involve mentoring and coaching from a very experienced Agile Coach that has over 15 years working on dozens of Agile projects in some of the worlds largest organizations, such as IBM, Master Card, Walmart, Visa, AT&T, Air Products and Chemicals, and Sprint, just to name a few.
